KEA will hold One Descriptive Paper and One Objective Paper in the exam. In the Descriptive Exam, Only Kannada and English Subjects are asked in the exam. Each paper contains 100 Marks and the duration of the test is 2 Hours. Coming to Objective Type Test contains Two Papers, One is General Knowledge and the other one is Optional Subjects. KEA will ask 50 questions from GK and 125 questions from Optional Subjects. There is negative marking for the Objective Type test, 0.25 marks will be deducted for the questions having 1 Mark and 0.50 Marks will be deducted for the questions having 2 Marks.
