APSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2022 consists mainly of 2 separate Tests in which the candidate has to attend. One is the Skill Test, which will be conducted for 150 Words Per Minute for candidates of English, and the 120 WPM Test for those who have applied for the language category. Based on typing speed in which the candidate has to score at least 40 marks to qualify. Another one is the Multiple-Choice Question-Based Written Examination. First, the candidates will be tested on their Stenography Speed. Only those candidates who have qualified in the skill test will be allowed to appear for the Objective Type Written Examination. The written examination is conducted in such a way that for each vacancy, four candidates who have been selected in the skill test will have to compete against each vacancy.
In the APSC Stenographer Syllabus 2022, the written test mainly consists of English, Knowledge, ability to operate on Computer, and General Knowledge. Out of these topics, English has the highest marks weightage with 50 out of 100 marks. To increase the probability of the candidate scoring higher in the Written examination, one has to prepare well in the areas of English grammar, Sentence formation, Error correction, Tenses, etc. In APSC Stenographer Syllabus 2022, the Remaining Out of 30 Marks allocated for the General Knowledge, 10 marks are allotted to Assam History. The final merit list will be prepared based on the aggregate marks of the candidates in both the Skill Test and Written Examination. If any clash comes in allotment of ranks, preference will be given to the candidates who have scored the highest marks in the proficiency test.
